Its a 4 star hotel with no air conditioners in the room. Not good for a summer holiday
The staff were very helpful and friendly, particlularly the waiting staff in the dining room. The pool looked great although we didn't use it due to being away from the hotel during the 'open hours'. The views from the bar and restaurant were fabulous - really felt we were on holiday sitting with a drink over looking the bay. We used the courtesy bus and found that worked well for us. With help from the reception staff, we also used the local bus service without difficulty.
We didn't realise the hotel was so 'anglised' with the meals being less Italian than we expected. This was because many of the guests were English and the food had been adjusted to english tastes. So lots of things came with chips. It was written in Italian but some were english meals which we had not realised. It was okay, just not what we were expecting.
The hotel was a little hard to find and is located on the top of a hill but once you are there the view is beautiful with Sorrento below and Vesuvius in the distance. It is not too far to Amalfi and Positano. Taking the ferry to Capri was very easy and the hotel also has a free shuttle to Sorrento. Breakfast was great with a variety of foods what would appeal to anyone. In the town of San Agata we also discovered our all time favorite restaurant "Mimi". We went back every day and were never disappointed. We highly recommend it.
There were five of us so we had to book two rooms. The rooms were not what we expected. Not the ones shown on the web at all. The double was extremely cramped with the tiniest bathroom. My 6"3 husband would have never fit in the shower stall. The triple was better but not by much, at least it had a tub. Throughout our 3 weeks trip in Italy we booked many 3 stars hotels and this one is on the bottom of our list. Over all, all the furnishing needs a serious sprucing up.
Hotel Jaccarino is a fabulous hotel, the swimming pool is lovely and the view from the hotel is gorgeous looking upon Sorrento and across to Mt. Vesuvius, and the barman is such a gentleman as well the rest of the staff. Food was lovely and it suited our tastes. The close location to village behind the hotel was good (Santa Agata).
The only thing I could say; even though its in a fabulous location with a lovely view, the shuttle bus does not run as often as we would like down to Sorrento town. However, there is a village right at the back entrance of the hotel that provides you with the essentials if needs be; shops, pharmacy, restaurants and pubs.
The comfort of the hotel and the views over the Bay combine to give a very relaxing stay. Nice also to be so near facilities of the town St Agata.
Occasional noisiness in early morning (before 8am,sometimes before 7 am) including guests assembling and going off for the day.
Very nice lovely veiws.
Hotel Jaccarino is what an Italian hotel should be! The quaint, warm environment coupled with their friendly and accommodating staff made us feel welcome and at home. The airline lost our luggage and the staff was helpful in assisting us to track it down. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the pool and outdoor areas simply impeccable.
Very nice location, good breakfast, nice room with balconny. Sorrento is +/- 9km by car, but you can take a shortcut and walk to Sorrento in approx. 40min. This is a very nice area to take a walk. The small city Sant' Agata Sui Due Golfi has a good variation of restaurants.
Pleasant relatively small hotel. Excellent breakfast, nice rooms and a great pool. Staff were friendly to us. Very close to small town with good restaurants.
the hotel is far from the sea or Sorrento so you need to use a car. poor breakfast. rooms are little and need to be modernized.
The view of the Gulf of Napoli from the balcony of our room was spectacular. The hotel pool was excellent and welcoming.
I liked verything about this hotel. Great location, fab pool and an amazing view. Situated in a lovely "real" Italian village with great restaurants and away from the rather expensive tourist trap of Sorento.
Magnificent views, grand rooms, lovely pool, 2 minute walk to village, the evening dinner was good value at 20euros although we only tried it once. We arrived late about 9.45pm, but they had a nice salad ready for us at 10pm. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs around pool, enough for everyone.
Pool closed at 6pm, TV did not work at all and no attempt made to fix it. Air conditioning is there, but as an extra!, not made clear in their literature. The free schuttle bus times were a bit limited, and had to be paid for after 6.30pm bus. Internet to be paid for by the session.(5euros/hr)
A lovely old house converted to hotel a splendid place to stay and the location and views not forgetting good facilities
Some staff at reception were not the most customer focused whereas the staff in the dinnig room were very good
Amazing place and really got to relax. The staff were great and always went the extra mile.
